Now that the wife is working 6 days per week for the current rotation, she has started to call the one day off 'vacation' in hopes that it will feel a little bit longer. This is also the night that we try and do something and hang out for a bit (although lately she has been sacrificing some sleep for a life - a big step considering her appreciation for sleep). We have had this gift certificate for a local restaurant for quite a while from an Aunt and Uncle of hers and we figured it was about time we use it. We kept thinking that we would use it when I would finish a semester, after we buy a house, after we move, after... well, you get the idea. So, we finally used it.
It was really nice to go out. We went a bit early (after all, too much later and the wife would struggle to resist the soporific effect of a later night) and it was still happy hour! Half price drinks and appetizers - everyone wins. Here is a picture of us before we went out. You will notice that I did not wear the bow tie.
