It has been a while. I feel like maybe last time I was frustrated that the work flow wasn't flowing and I haven't done much of anything since then. Here are some pics that were supposed to be put up by now though. This is a mix of different trips and what not. Water/forest shots are from the UP, tulips are from Holland Tulip Time.

photo dump
I tried a few weeks back to put some stuff up on here and had some tech difficulties, and well, here we are now. Here are some photos I have put up on flickr but didn't get up here yet. I have found that I am taking more with the cell phone now that I got a phone that takes pictures better than the flip phone I had in high school. I have some from the DSRL that I need to still put up, too.
Fun in the back yard of the old house:
Sleeping on our last airplane trip. After a bit of this I realized we actually did pay for his seat...

Playing.

A new favorite morning routine for a bit there:

1/52 Dying Light
I am on a roll here! That is what happens when I am home alone for a few days and don't want to grade.

52/52 End of a "year"
So this clearly took more than a year to do. I will probably keep doing it, but probable not number the photos this time, ha. Or maybe I will so I know when the "year" is up. We'll see. But how better to end a project than with shots from Easter? Two this time and a bonus.
Sara made him this bow tie. Just hamming it up here. That is chocolate going down his face from a chocolate bunny, by the way.
And then he wanted to add his hat to the mix. Should have let him wear the hat to church as well!
Bonus!

50/52 Teeth Whitening
I might as well stop numbering these things, but I am so close to a "year"!

49/52
Home stretch here - but I might as well just sdtop numbering them. I am pretty over how many weeks there are in a year as far as it is taking me to do this.

some pics
While I did miss a week or two or something, there were some pics up on flickr before now (that is something of an apology even though probably no one is terribly concerned about it).
Anyway, my brother and his girlfriend came out earlier this month and we went to the distillery here in town while there were here. Pretty cool place:
While in AZ with the family, the kid could not get enough of being outside. He has always liked it, but this was on a different level. Maybe it was the sand and rocks instead of grass?

40/52 Fall Colors!
So I had a hard time choosing pictures this week from a hike we did this past week at Riley Park here. I decided to just narrow it down to a few of them...
Oliver was not really cooperative for these pictures, but this one is not too bad!
He was having the best time collecting acorns on the last part of the hike. He hiked over 1/4 of a mile on his own! It was slow going though...
The trees were quite nice though!

catch up on weeks
While I have been taking some photos, it has proven a challenge to put them on the computer and do much with them. Something about the last house made it feel less far away to do stuff like that in the evening, so I could do it and not feel like I wasn't around Sara. Anyways, here are some pics - one from Grand Haven on a really windy day, two from Hoffmaster State Park and one from this past Sunday at a you-pick farm. Oliver had a great time picking and eating his own raspberries and apples there!

catch up
Alright, I have been a pretty big slacker on the photo project thing as of late, but I have been taking and posting more than I have been putting up here. So, here are three weeks worth. Two of them are cell phone pics, which I count, and the third is one I finally got the real camera out for again. Cheers.
First is Windmill Island. I was kayaking around and didn't know how far I went - nice gardens there (at least from the water)!
This is a dying flower. I thought it was funny because half is clearly very dead while the other half still actually looked really good and alive. Surely there is a metaphor in there somewhere...
This is Saugatuck State Park on Lake Michigan. The beaches are actually really nice and there are great, tall sand dunes complete with dunes grass just off the beach. It was fairly windy when we were there so there were even pretty legit waves. With such a big lake it really is almost like being at the ocean except for the salt smell in the air. Oliver was enjoying the sand... takes after his mom (yet again).
