I once read an article that said social networks actually makes us sadder and more envious of our friends because all we see are their happy times, great trips, and mile stones we haven't hit yet. Think about it - what do you post online? Just highlights. When do you look at others' highlights? When you are sad, lonely, depressed bored or procrastinating. All great times to contrast the 'happy' you see. Anyways, one below is a partial effort at full disclosure. :)

gmail metadata
Meta data is a popular phrase these days with political institutions snooping and all. Some people think that knowing 'meta data' isn't really a big deal and you can't know too much from that anyways. This isn't really that true. If you know meta data you can know a lot about a person, the groups they are a part of and whether there are any connections between them. For example, here is an article by a sociologist showing that with simple 'meta data' the British could have found and isolated revolutionaries like Paul Revere (it is awkwardly told as if it was a British person during the Revolution...).
Anyways, using only meta data (to, from, time stamps...), here is a network cloud of my own gmail account (make your own!!). Kind of interesting.

Sara is that grey node in the middle right that connects the blue network (our Bible study) and the rest of the grey one (mostly her family). The massive blue one at the bottom is my brother... apparently we email/text/chat a lot. Seems I have a fair number of disconnected networks and a ton of isolated nodes. This means I have interacted with a lot of people that are not connected to one another.

Waco Day!
B would tell me that when people down in Waco would ask her if it was weird to have a 'college student' stay with her, she would tell them, "he is just like my grandkid..." Yesterday we took the kiddo down to meet her. We thought she would like that since I have been living with her for about four years now and I am 'like a grandkid.' She seemed to really enjoy meeting Oliver and it was nice to take her out to lunch and talk for a bit since I may not really need to stay at her play again from now on. We shall see.
And here is the three of us.
Here she is with the kid.

Thirsty
The last day or so we have been letting the little one run wild, free, and nearly naked. He just wanted to show off his cloth dipes.

What I Think
This photo makes me laugh... Sara wanted some pics we could use for baby announcements. He seems to be over the 'photo shoots'. Yawns and sign language.

Nap time
Last night Oliver gave us one 3.5 hour stretch of sleep. So generous. This was a nice change from his 1.5 stretches on a lot of other nights.
Here is him and mom taking a nap earlier in the day yesterday.

nail job!
So this is probably pretty boring for pretty much everyone, but here it is none the less. This kid has so many different grunts, squeaks and squeals while he sleeps, it is really funny. He was really letting some out when Sara was doing his nails the other day, but right when I started to tape it he didn't do as many.

fingers
It has been fun watching this kid lately because he has really started to track with his eyes more and figure things out. Earlier today he was giving me some kind of smiles in reaction to me being weird, which was fun. Now he has been getting better at putting his hand in his mouth...

photo dump
Here are a few pics of the little guy "meeting" one of his great grandparents via video chat. Crazy what these kids are up to these days. :)
